As with most websites Random Science Tools keeps logs of traffic to the site. These logs include your IP address, the time and page you visited and, if applicable, the page you came from.

Random Science Tools does not currently set any cookies or web beacons. However, I do use third party advertisements (e.g. Google's AdSense) which may use cookies and/or web beacons with their adverts to gain information such as your IP (Internet Protocol) address, your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the browser you used to visit this site and possibly information about plugins (e.g. whether you have Adobe's Flash Player installed). This information is generally used to show adverts relevant to your browsing history and/or location. For example, if you frequently visit sites about photography these third parties may show adverts for camera shops in your area. Most web browsers allow you to selectively block or delete cookies. However, be aware that if you block cookies you may find that some features on some websites are not available, e.g. you may not be able to login to forums or accounts, though currently there are no forums on Random Science Tools.
